In addition, I don't enjoy the job balance this league. I understand that they felt TL didn't reward PvM enough and wanted to rectify this, but now it feels like they swung the pendulum way too far in the opposite way, where in Trailblazer it seems like the one thing that matters now is PvM. I believe the ideal balance is someplace in the center, where the two PvM and skilling are both workable points-endgames and you may choose to RS gold focus on either one based on which you want, rather than the current see-saw where we travelled from skilling+clueing function as the only aggressive points-endgame at Twisted League into PvM being the only competitive points-endgame in Trailblazer League.
I am not saying the league is wholly bad and the devs did a dreadful job or anything. I recognize that different leagues will interest different people, just like the way that I only play some Path of Exile leagues and others. I just hope the devs keep this stuff in mind for future leagues.Leagues II is the most fun I've had in RuneScape in the previous ten years.I have not played OSRS really much at all since it released, and only played RS3 on/off (mostly off) because 2013.
I'm so glad I did, this game mode is a blast! I have expended more hours Leagues II over the past few two weeks compared to any other game I've played lately. I really made in-game friends while fishing for lobsters around Karamja for the first time since real 2007.
I don't have nearly as much time for games now compared to when I was in middle/high school, so the encouraged XP and relics make the grind actually manageable. The tasks are unique, and therefore are making me go to corners of the map that I literally haven't been since I was a child. The area unlocks completely awakened the meta, and even though folks are figuring out optimal strategies today, for the very first week it actually felt like everyone was on the same foot. Additionally, I get to experience each of the new content that's been added for the first time.
I normally hate appreciation posts similar to this, however I officially haven't had this much fun in a video game in ages, to the point where I am seriously considering starting a second account to encounter a different set of areas. It's the perfect storm of nostalgia, new material, refreshing meta, and tolerable grinding.
Whatever you did with this one, you did it correctly, and I already can't wait for Leagues
God damn man you are cheap RuneScape gold on fire, and that's everyone else involved on these projects. It's a fantastic time to play OSRS.
